New Changes on Work Visas

INZ announcement - new changes starting from 19th July:

1. An up-to-2-year Essential Skills Work Visa will be granted for employment paid below median wage.

2. Employers won’t be required to complete a labour market test if the worker is applying for a visa for a full-time role that the worker already holds.

3. These applicants also won’t need to provide medical and police certificates to INZ if that information has been supplied previously.

4. Upcoming changes in work visas would be postponed from 01 Nov 2021 to the middle of the next year.
